Career and Technical Education (CTE) provides students with the technical and professional skills to enter high-demand career pathways. Formerly known as vocational education, CTE prepares students through hands-on, real-world learning.

We partner with the following colleges and universities to offer dual enrollment so our students can earn college credit in a cost-effective way during high school to get ahead: Maricopa Community College District, Arizona State University, University of Arizona, Northern Arizona University and Grand Canyon University.

WORK-BASED LEARNING

Work-based learning is a critical component within the Peoria Unified CTE programs. Students participate in field experiences, clinical rotations, and internships to practice their skills within industry to gain mentorship and coaching for future success.

INDUSTRY CERTIFICATIONS

Peoria Unified CTE students can earn industry certifications while they are in high school to demonstrate a mastery of knowledge and/or skills. Industry certifications can increase job prospects, marketability to employers and postsecondary institutions.
